These are the sounds recorded in Gaetgol Natural Recreation Forest located at 577, Inje-ro 103beon-gil, Inje-eup, Inje-gun, Gangwon-do, Republic of Korea in January 2024. The recordings took place in the morning and the evening for three days. The temperatures ranged from -5 to -2 degrees Celsius, and the weather conditions were either clear or cloudy and generally less windy in the mountain.
The winter mountain valley had few visitors. The surface of the valley was frozen and snow-covered. Beneath it, the water touched directly below it and flowed, making a clear sound. The valley was quietly but constantly flowing like a breath in the mountain that seemed to be frozen from a distance.
